Easter Bunnies, Baths, Rice Cereal!

Austin has been busy lately!  We went to the neighborhood Easter egg hunt with his cousins.  They were sweet enough to hunt eggs for him!  Here he is with the Easter bunny!
When I was little, I remember going to McClure's (a department store) to visit the bunnies they had in a pin at the store around Easter.  The local toy store now has the bunnies, so we took Austin to see them this year.  He was not too into them.

Here are some cute pictures of some fun at home.  I was being silly one day and put him in the laundry basket.  By the time I got the camera, he was tired of giggling. He really got a kick out of it.

He is really starting to like his baths lately.  He splashes and tries to drink the water.

Since the day he was born, everyone has been telling us to give the boy rice cereal. It will cure everything from gas to sleeping (or not sleeping)!  Since we had a long weekend of Easter where we were home from work for a few days, we decided to start solid foods and see how he did!  He loved it so much I had to make a second bowl.  He did great!  I can't wait to make him some food myself and see how he does.  I just started with the rice cereal.  Here are some pictures from our first time!

Here is a picture of how chilled out he was afterwards.

Stroller rides

Since the weather has been nicer, we have been taking Austin on some walks in his stroller. He really likes being outside and looking around.  He usually falls asleep.  Every day that Allen is gone, I take some pictures on my cellphone of Austin to send to him.  Here are some from this past week.

Bass Pro Shop

Saturday was a pretty cold, yucky day, so we headed out to Bass Pro Shop so that Allen could get some things for the boat.

At Home Photo Sessions

We have had some fun taking pictures of Austin and Annabelle lately.  Austin is ready for an Auburn game, but this outfit won't fit too much longer!

As you can tell, Austin and Annabelle tolerate each other!

We also took Austin to his first Nashville Sounds game for my friend Forrest's 40th birthday party.  He didn't have any baseball clothes, so he decided to wear his fancy smocked fish bubble before it got too small!

Napping everywhere but the crib

Austin is changing every day!  We love seeing all the new things he can do.  He moves all over the place now when you place him on the floor just by kicking his feet in the air.  Allen has seen him roll over twice, but the nanny and I haven't seen it as much!  He is "talking" more than ever.  He loves it when people look at him directly in the face and talk to him.  He will coo back at them.  He's such a happy baby and giggles all the time.  He's so ticklish under his chin and on his belly.  He has the cutest laugh when he gets tickled.  His hair is growing more, too, and it is coming in lighter.  It sticks straight up.

He seems to enjoy some of his new toys we borrowed from friends.  He'll enjoy the Johnny Jump Up for enough time for me to fix dinner or unload the dishwasher.  He really likes going on walks in the stroller.

He has started waking up again in the middle of the night ever since I went back to work.  That makes for very long work weeks.  Thank goodness Allen will help out on the weekends or my mom comes out to take care of Austin while I take a nap to catch up on lost sleep.  He will not nap in his crib during the day either.  The nanny ends up holding him-boy is he spoiled!  Our goal is to get him to sleep on his own in his crib in the next week or so. Hope that's not asking too much of him.  The funny thing this past weekend was he fell asleep on his play mat and in the Johnny Jump Up.

He was all dressed up for UK to win the Final Four.  Maybe next year.

Allen is doing a great job taking care of him one day a week.  He does really well with him and can even get him to sleep in his crib!  He works with him on grabbing toys, sitting in his Bumbo chair, and playing with his toy.  I am so glad they have this time together.  I know they will cherish it in the future.  Austin has even started reaching out and "petting" Annabelle.  She is not too keen on it though.  Maybe one day.
The church still has not put Jackson's name plate on his ashes.  I think it will just have his name and 2010 since he was a baby.  Hope they will get it on there soon.  Allen and I really enjoy going to church on Sunday and spending a little time with our little weeman.  We miss him so much.
